lyrics
This feeling, overwhelming,
it consumes everything.
Draw the blinds,
we hid inside, while my neighbours lost their lives.
Forgiveness and fighting,
internal unresting,
synapse collapse,
flashback, relapse.
Reality ungrasping,
pictures, white flashes,
loved ones in ashes,
stolen and captured.
I have lost myself and I’m unsure if I will last,
I can’t escape from here by blocking out the past.
By blocking out the past….
Buried myself in the dirt.
If I turn around does that resolve my guilt,
To return to all the blood that’s been spilt?
I lost myself and I’m unsure if I will last,
I can’t escape from here by blocking out the past.
I lost myself.
I lost myself.
And I cannot take a step,
Clench my chest,
release that last breath,
I’m not done yet.
By blocking out the past, I’m unsure if I will last.
And I continue, to where the water is safer than the land.
Further from the damned.
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
Not a fan of the new album but this Polaris album is just what I love about metalcore. Saw them live in CH last year and on stage they are amazing. If you're new to Polaris (doubt it) start here ! sachavonkarl74
