lyrics
Draw the blinds and hide inside
the siren sound has called for strife
pray to god for some insight
and hope we don’t die tonight.
And I hear the screams, they’re calling out, calling out to me.
And I hear the screams, they’re calling out, it’s time to leave.
Draw the blinds and hide inside,
The siren sound has called for strife.
Pray to god for some insight
But god ain’t here tonight.
Buildings crumble, now in rubble
hear the calling, hear the struggle
of my neighbours in their death beds. Their hands are reaching out,
just for a single breath,
their hands are reaching out,
now gone limp from death.
And I hear the screams, they’re calling out, calling out to me.
God ain’t here tonight.
We’re caught in the crossfire.
God ain’t here tonight.
But what if he’s a liar?
Buildings crumble, now in rubble,
hear the calling, hear the struggle
of my neighbours in their death beds.
Their hands are reaching out,
just for a single breath
their hands are reaching out
now gone limp from death.
God ain’t here tonight.
We’re caught in the crossfire.
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
Not a fan of the new album but this Polaris album is just what I love about metalcore. Saw them live in CH last year and on stage they are amazing. If you're new to Polaris (doubt it) start here ! sachavonkarl74
